Preparation is the Best Life Insurance

We all hope we never have to use it, but when an emergency strikes, training kicks in. Whether you are on a dive boat miles offshore or at a family barbecue, having the confidence to act can save a life. At Dive Right In Scuba in the Chicago suburbs, we take safety seriously. We offer a comprehensive suite of First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Administration courses from the world's leading agencies. These certifications aren't just checkboxes for a Rescue Diver course; they are life skills that every responsible person should possess.

Choose Your Training Agency

We understand that different students have different needs—from workplace compliance to specialized dive medicine. That is why we offer courses from three distinct organizations:

  • Dive Alert Network (DAN): The gold standard for dive safety. DAN courses focus heavily on the specific physiology of diving injuries. You will learn how to recognize Decompression Sickness (DCS) and administer emergency oxygen—the primary first aid for dive accidents.
  • PADI Emergency First Response (EFR): This is the prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster ratings. It is a user-friendly, confidence-building course that covers Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) for both divers and non-divers.
  • First Response Training International (FRTI): Need a certification for your job? FRTI courses are OSHA-compliant and designed for the layperson. They strip away the complex medical jargon and focus on the practical skills needed to manage a scene until EMS arrives.

Skills for Land and Sea

While we are a dive shop, these courses go beyond the water. You will learn to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), control serious bleeding, and manage shock. These are universal skills. Whether you are a parent, a teacher, or a dive buddy, our training empowers you to step up when seconds count.

Don't be a bystander. Learn about our safety courses and get certified to save a life today!
